Proje Information

The Log Cabins at Lower Bush are a high quality tourist facility, which is ecologically sound and energy efficient.

Ivy Cabin, on the left of the artists impression, is now open!

We will also offer Equine accommodation, and will likely install the stable block next.
     - The stables are for you to
"Bring Your Horse On Holiday" a scheme promoted by the British Horse Society.
     - If you are happy to just turn your horse out until the stables are built, then you can begin exploring the hills immediately!

Our Log Cabins are designed using a choice of natural materials and colours. Not only natural, but local; the ten inch, round, logs selected for the project come from rounds the corner on the Brown Clee Hill. Some of the same trees we camped under as children!

Our goal for the buildings is to maximise energy and water efficiency. Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP's) power the under floor heating, and Solar Tubes the hot water production. Since these areas account for the majority of energy usage in most buildings, our log cabins are the epitome of "green energy efficiency".

Coupled with incredibly green energy production for heating each lovingly built log cabin, is the inherently high insulation value and thermal mass of the ten inch thick log walls and a lot of insulation under Living Roofs. We don't want to waste energy... even when it's free!

Using energy saving lighting ensures that "watt" little requirements we do have of the national grid are kept to a minimum.

Green Tourism

Gone are the days when an "Eco Holiday" meant losing sleep in a leaky Wigwam, being rubbed raw by the Angora jumper you were wearing whilst goats ate your undies off the washing line!

The Log Cabins at Lower Bush are designed for maximum comfort. Energy efficiency works for you as much as the environment.

Solar tubes mean you always have hot water for a hot shower.

Underfloor heating, powered by a ground source heat pump, keeps you warm.

Thick Sedum Moss Roofs ensure that you are warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

The reed bed adds interest to the waste water soak away and creates that little bit more bio-diversity, giving you more wildlife.

And natural renewable materials, which are local where possible, keep you in the comfort and style you demand from your holiday!
