Lower Bush Farm provide Lantra Chainsaw and Treework Training and Assessment.

Our instructors and assessors have backgrounds in a variety of professional chainsaw use, tree work and instruction.

We provide a range of courses for Operators of Chainsaws and Woodchippers, Brushcutters/Trimmers.

To ensure you chose the right course, please read the information provided, or contact us if you are unsure.

Please be aware that I.T.A (Integrated Training and Assessment) is suitable for occasional users. I.T.A courses do not satisfy pre-requisite requirements
 for further training.
The Level 2 Award is suitable for chainsaw operators who use a chainsaw as the main role of their employment, such as working in Arboriculture or Forestry, where a national Certificate of
Competence is required. If you are unsure please contact us.

With low instructor to learner ratios, courses need to be full, or nearly full to run.

We only advertise upcoming courses with spaces. So if you'd like to book onto a course, but don't see availability, please get in touch, and we can put you on a list or maybe offer you a cancellation. We can run a full, or nearly full course by request for customers with several operators.

Training Facilities

​

We have a spacious, and well ventillated training room, providing each learner with their own workbench, and bench vice. We have a full workshop for any extra repairs to equipment.

​

Lower Bush Farm consists of 40 acres of fields, woodlands and orchards. Some practical aspects of training is carried out on site when necessary. Most practical Chainsaw felling and processing of trees is carried out in other local woodlands and forests which are within a 5 minute drive.

​

Hot and cold drinks are provided free of charge. Please bring your own food, as well as drinks for when we are out in the woods or fields completing the practical elements of training and assessment.
